The Smart Set | Illustrations

Pennoni Honors College, Drexel University

Over the course of three months, I produced a series of over 40 editorial illustrations for The Smart Set, a digital magazine of ideas, arts, and culture. Working closely with the editorial team, I translated diverse essays—ranging from philosophy and history to personal narratives—into compelling visuals that enhanced each story’s tone and message.

Each illustration was crafted to stand alone while maintaining a cohesive visual identity across the publication. I explored a variety of styles and techniques, often combining hand-drawn textures, digital collage, and symbolic storytelling to reflect the nuanced voices of the writers. These works were also shared across social media and newsletter platforms, helping boost engagement and visibility for the magazine’s featured content.
